Our Story
Design Sense was established in September 2006 by graphic designer, Helen Kenny. After working as the in-house graphic designer at the Kalgoorlie-Boulder Chamber of Commerce & Industry for 3 years, Helen saw a business opportunity to fulfil a market niche for business branding, especially for small and establishing businesses. In October 2011, Helen joined forces with Kristen Fragar, formerly of Random Grafix, to form 'Design Sense Graphics & Web'. Kristen started Random Grafix as a part-time endeavour in 2005 and demand for her services expanded so much that she took the opportunity to launch into Graphic Design full time!
Our Graphic Design Team
Helen Kenny
Originally trained as a primary school teacher, Helen has a wealth of experience that enables her to relate well to people and really listen to their needs. She is also the mother of 4 children and so time management is a strength! After running a small craft business for 4 years, Helen started the Graphic Design course at Curtin in 2001, completing an Advanced Diploma. Helen has also been a member of the Small Business Centre Goldfields Board since 2007, and has an understanding of the broader picture of business within the Goldfields region.
Kristen Fragar
Kristen found she had a love for art and multimedia at a young age, and explored and developed skills in website creation and video editing for several years before studying graphic design formally. Now she specialises in web development, and is continually adding to her wide range of skills. She has also worked as an administrator/book-keeper for over 5 years, and understands the needs of small businesses. |
